ISOC planned to sell PIR to Ethos Capital; on 2020-04-30 the ICANN Board rejected the change-of-control request.

Scope: Control of Public Interest Registry (PIR), the .org registry operator.

According to ICANN, PIR announced on 2019-11-13 that its parent organisation ISOC had agreed for Ethos Capital to acquire PIR.^[1]
